Samantha Tidy has worked in four significant management roles, two of which have been with the Federal Government, one with State Government and one in private industry. As such, having managed many recruitment processes in both private and public settings, she has the know-how on how the system works, and how to get noticed in that all important pile of applications.

In her eight years as a Manager in Arts Education and in a non-Arts based Federal government position, she has seen many people make stupid mistakes, such as revealing their ignorance of basic grammar and formatting, including unsuitable content for an application/selection criteria response, or asking the wrong questions in interviews. 

She has also met and recruited dozens of people for teams of her choosing, resulting in an excellent rate of success in attracting the right candidate for a certain role. This knowledge allows her to assist you in crafting a successful job application.

Being the outstanding candidate for the job of your choice relies on four things:

  • If applicable, a cover letter than serves you, not hinders you
  • A well-crafted, well-formatted Curriculum Vitae that gets you noticed
  • A statement addressing the selection criteria that successfully identifies you as a sutiable candidate
  • An interview where you are ranked highly suitable for the advertised role

Services available range from a simple chat to prepare you to do it yourself, or, a thorough editing /guided writing service:

  • One hour session (in person if Canberra-based/skype if located elsewhere) - interview preparation or simply discussing how you should work through each selection criteria - $150
  • Preparation of a Curriculum Vitae (involves you sending a draft of your accurate information, or Samantha interviewing you on the phone) - $150
  • Cover letter creation - $50
  • Selection Criteria assistance (and yes, it's thorough!) $50 each criterion.
  • The works: cover letter, interview, CV creation, 5 - 6 selection criteria, and pre-interview prep session: $500 flat fee. 

All content produced remains your property, sent as a word doc to your email address for you to use again (or edit again) for another role if needed.

An absolute minimum of one week's notice before the closing date is required. If you need help less that five working days before the cut off, a $80 fee will be applied for 'rush jobs'.
